Young tuba player to star in Waterlooville concert

Tom TorleyIt's not often that the tuba is heard as a solo instrument but young Tom Torley, currently studying at the Royal College of Music in London, is hoping to change that! He'll be appearing with Havant Symphony Orchestra to play the Tuba Concerto by Edward Gregson on Saturday March 25th at Oaklands Catholic School.

The Orchestra, conducted by both their Music Director, Jonathan Butcher, and student conductor, Tom Griffin, will also play music by Schubert, Dvorak, Borodin and Mendelssohn - a real feast for the ears!

Tickets are just £1 for under 19s in full time education, so bring youngsters along and inspire them to take up an instrument! Full price tickets start at £6 and students (19+) are half price. The concert starts at 7.30 pm. More information on our website www.havantorchestras.org.uk
