Head Romance Is Your hair crying out for help?

Sun exposure, heated appliances, bleaching and colouring can all leave hair crying out for help. But with the right know-how, you can restore your style to its crowning glory...

‘As a hairdresser, I always advise my clients to treat their hair with the same love and attention they show to their skin’ says Emily Warne, cofounder of headromance, Havant. ‘Cleanse and moisturise regularly, eat wisely, protect from the sun and indulge with a little TLC now and again for optimum health.

Unfortunately, our love affair with heated appliances combined with the drying effects of the sun means that at this time of year, our hair is often crying out for hydration. Here are my tips for getting your hair back on track:

Condition, condition, condition:
Contrary to what you may have heard, all hair types need conditioner. I swear by Redken’s amazing All Soft range; the Argan-6 Oil can be used before or after you shampoo, or even while you sleep to add unbeatable shine and suppleness come morning.

And...cut!: Unfortunately, dry and damaged split ends can’t be repaired – the only solution is to cut them off. Book a salon appointment every six to eight weeks even if you are growing your hair – leaving it any longer than this could cause more damage, meaning you’ll just have to lose more length than you planned at your next visit!

Intensive care: If you wouldn’t think twice about booking yourself a facial or massage, why not lavish the same attention on your hair? At headromance, we offer a range of treatments designed to nourish or smooth your locks, priced from just £15. Our stylists will be able to recommend the right one for your hair type.
