WE’RE IN THE NEWS!

All fabulous stuff! Once again THANK YOU SO MUCH to all those really lovely mystery shoppers who voted us the best! We were over the moon with the results as we triumphed at the Business Excellence Awards with the ‘Customer Service Award’ and also 2nd/highly commended for the ‘Employer of the Year’ award. Organised by The News, the Business Excellence Awards commend businesses that stand above others through their hard work and success. A panel of judges representing the business community and the Hampshire chamber of commerce undertook judging. The winners were then announced at a gala black tie dinner held at the Guildhall Portsmouth.

HERE COME THE BRAIDS
Emily Warne is constantly wearing her lux locks in braids this Spring, she says of the trend: 'Braids are classic but they can be modernised. I love that they have two functions – to contain hair so that it doesn’t detract from the clothes, but also as a point of interest.’ The best bit however is that they are versatile and so easy to master and most importantly work on all hair types. Catwalks Donna Karen and Jeremy Scott both featured braids for the season - and they really looked cool. So how do you get that classic braid?

Hair Braids

  1. Prep the hair with fixing spray for a smooth texture.
  2. Gather your hair at the nape of your neck draping it over your ears and tie with elastic.
  3. Braid down in a simple plait and secure with a clear elastic at the bottom.
  4. Cut away the top elastic so it falls a little looser.

Dishevelled HairFor that more dishevelled braid:

  1. Use texture powered and dry shampoo to create a light airy texture to your hair.
  2. Starting around an inch down from the nape of your neck, plait loosely down and fasten in place.
  3. Massage your scalp with your fingers so random pieces of hair move and fall for a relaxed finish.
