Energize your Life – Get in control of what you eat, drink and think!

Whatever your circumstances, young, old, rich or poor you can make positive changes to be happier, healthier and wealthier in all areas of your life. The number one thing to remember is to be grateful for everything you have. Gratitude is important, and the more grateful you are the better your life you will create. Try this little exercise. Every night, before you go to bed, think of five things you are grateful for and write them down or just say them out loud. Once you get into the habit its incredible how it lifts your energy, calms you before you go to sleep and allows you to wake up feeling happier about your life in general.

This time of year its a good idea to start detoxing not only your health, but your lives, the people around you, your house, your job, and every aspect of your life that creates negativity. The most important thing is to make this year count, make a difference, step out of your comfort zone and live life to the max!

Regards your health…that’s up to you too! No one else can be held responsible for that except you! Everyone is entitled to guilty pleasures and enjoying them to the full from time to time, but it is just as important to know when to stop and when enough is enough. If you continue to eat acidic foods such as processed meats, dairy, ready meals, fast foods and alcohol, the toxins will overload you and you start to become sick. Your energy will decline, and your brain will feel foggy and stressed. Health is all about prevention and balance. Don’t wait for a disease to come along and slap you round the face before you start to make responsible changes to your life.

Before you can do any of these things it is best to make a plan of what you want to achieve this year, this month, this week or tomorrow.

Ask yourself the following questions:

  1. What do you want to achieve this year?
  2. What is important to you?
  3. What steps do you think you can put in place to make this achievable?
  4. What makes you really happy?
  5. On a scale of 1 – 10 how satisfied are you with your life. (10 being great)
  6. If someone had to write an article on you at the end of the year about all your achievements in 2019 what would you like it to say.

There are no right or wrong answers to these questions. It is all very personal to you. In the same way we have the total responsibility for our own health, we are also in charge of our own happiness. The happier we are, the healthier we become.

Fill your lives with people that make you feel good, positive and motivated. Read uplifting and inspirational books. Watch movies that energize you, find a way of exercising that lifts your spirit, feed your body nourishing foods (fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans and super foods) that are going to keep you energized, get enough sleep, fresh air and sunshine and live your life with thoughtfulness and purpose. We are coming out the depths of those short winter days now, so lets come out of hibernation and start living…right now!
