Staff and pupils of Mengham Junior School were thrilled to welcome a team from the Winchester Science Centre and Planetarium.
As part of their current topic, Year 6 are learning all about electricity. Through a series of hands on experiments, they were able to see how simple and elegant electromagnetic forces can be. They also made an electromagnet and constructed a simple motor so that they could see first hand how motors work. The children really enjoyed the experience which hopefully will lead to a lifelong interest in all things scientific!
