FAMILIES TOOK UP THE CHALLENGE OF MAY DARE

FAMILIES TOOK UP THE CHALLENGE OF MAY DAREKingscourt School in Catherington near Horndean was a hive of activity on Saturday afternoon as families enjoyed a special event. Dubbed the May Dare, the open afternoon encouraged parents and their children to take part in a wide range of fun activities designed to take participants slightly out of their comfort zone.

Activities included a large climbing wall, African drumming, salsa, Glee Club choir, lacrosse, fencing, Maypole dancing, floristry, drama, science experiments, circus skills, den building, yoga, computer coding, salsa and much more.

Headteacher, Jamie Lewis said, “We were delighted that so many families joined us to take up the challenge with such enthusiasm. It was great to see everyone working together, having fun and perhaps discovering new activities that they might now pursue.”

A cake sale raised much needed funds for the school’s summer term charity, Water Aid UK.
