FLYING THE FLAG FOR ANIMALS

The annual Flag Collection Days on the 2nd and 3rd October were hugely successful and the sum of £968 was raised for The Stubbington Ark Animal Shelter.

Thank you so much to everybody who stopped with the blue collection tins of our volunteers and gave so generously.

Grateful thanks to Hayling Hardware, the Co-op Supermarket and the No 1 Shop in Mengham who welcomed our volunteers to collect in front of their shops.

As always, we are indebted to Mr Patel of The News Boutique in Mengham who very kindly permitted us to set up a table-top sale in front of his shop.

Much appreciation to our wonderful helpers who gave up their time.

Keeping The Ark afloat is a difficult task and even the smallest donation makes a big difference. Just to give a little example of how your money is being spent: £5 will run a heat lamp for sick animals for 2 weeks. The sum of £8 is enough to feed a rabbit for 4 weeks. Therefore, a heartfelt Thank You on behalf of The Ark’s resident animals.
