Havant based Company gives local Community Centre a Make Over!

A group of employees from Pfizer, based at New Lane, Havant, spent the day decorating a busy Community Centre. Waterlooville Community Centre was in desperate need of support to rejuvenate the entrance to the building.

Community First HEH facilitated the event and Janet Duggan, Volunteer Service Coordinator, said “it was fantastic to see local business professionals giving their time to support the local community. Improving the entrance to the Community Centre will make a real difference to welcoming local people through their doors”.

Sam Hockham, a member of the Pfizer team working on the project summed up the feelings of those involved with her comment: “We really enjoyed today, there was good team work and a great feeling of accomplishment at the end of the day”. Community First HEH, through its Volunteer Service, is looking for new businesses to work with. Volunteering in the community has many benefits, not only to the local community but for all organisations involved. If you would like to find out how your company can get involved with the scheme contact Janet Duggan on 0300 500 8085 or email janet.duggan@cfheh.org.uk
