Hockey player, sports fan, and Parliamentary candidate Alan Mak was Guest Speaker at this year's Havant Borough Sports Awards held at Havant Leisure Centre on 26 February 2015.
Local sports clubs honoured included Havant and Waterlooville Swim Club, Havant Hockey Club, Langstone Cutters Gig Club and Hayling Golf Club.
Alan Mak congratulated all the winners, and emphasised the key role sport plays across the Borough in bringing communities together and helping people stay active.
Alan Mak said, "I was delighted to speak at this year's Havant Borough Sports Awards. Our sportsmen and women do us all proud. Their dedication and passion is an example to us all. We must also thank the many parents, carers, volunteers and supporters who help behind the scenes, whether washing the kit or driving the minibus. Sport couldn't happen without them.â€
