How Motiv8 supports young people of Hayling Island

Motiv8 holds a weekly youth club session at Hayling Community Centre on a Wednesday evening, offering a wide range of Motiv8 activities. Recently, Peter Paulton of Havant Rotary kindly donated a pool table, and Rotary are keen to support young people’s work on the island.

The CHIFY (Confidential Health Information For You) young people's health drop-in now offers 2 sessions a week, in Hayling College on a Tuesday and at the Community Centre on a Wednesday before the regular youth club. This service offers a variety of confidential health-related support.

Employment advice and guidance is available to Hayling young people age 16 to How Motiv8 supports young people of Hayling Island 3 different services which are free for young people 24 on an appointment basis, and they can access this through the youth club sessions or by calling or texting 07980 903503.

Motiv8 is also involved in the planned extension to Hayling Community Centre as they apply to the Lottery for funds to expand the provision to include more space for young people.

Hayling Island is hosting a Community Alcohol Project over the summer months, designed to address alcohol misuse by young people and Motiv8 is working in partnership with Havant Borough Council, Hayling College, local police, traders associations and other agencies to arrange activities and get the message out to young people.
