Morris Crocker Welcomes Back Key Staff

The medical specialist team at Morris Crocker is delighted to welcome the return of two key staff members: Karen Flowers and Nicky Fitzsimmons.

With over 20 years’ experience working in the medical sector, 13 of them at Morris Crocker and the last year as an associate director at a top 7 firm, Karen has returned to head up the medical team alongside current director Pete Farrier.

Similarly, Nicky Fitzsimmons (previously Nicky Shirley) has rejoined Morris Crocker as a medical manager after spending two years at the same top 7 firm. Nicky had been with Morris Crocker for 11 years where she trained and specialised in advising GP clients.

Pete Farrier, director of the medical team, says “Many of our clients will have dealt with Karen and Nicky in the past and will be thrilled to see them return. Their skill, knowledge and vast experience of the medical sector gained over such a long period have made them both well respected staff members and they will add considerable strength to our already successful team. Their reappointment will also enable us to meet the requirements of a growing client base and ensure we continue to provide the client tailored service we pride ourselves on.”

Morris Crocker, based in Havant, provides specialist accountancy, tax and financial planning services to over 120 medical practices in London and the South of England. They can also advise on practice mergers, raising finance, practice development, advice on purchasing or selling surgeries and all other aspects of succession planning for a GP Partnership.

Specialising in the healthcare sector for over 40 years they are one of the longest established independent firms in the South to offer this service. As Pete explains: “Many factors including superannuation are unique to the sector and ensuring medical practitioners are given the right advice is key to using a specialist accountant. We use our experience to help clients add value and look at ways to reduce their tax burden and protect increasingly under pressure profits.”

Morris Crocker is growing in other respects too and recently changed its management structure to keep pace with today’s competitive business environment, to offer a more flexible, tailored service to clients. Expanding other specialisms including dentists and care homes, charities and not-for-profit, property and construction, whilst remaining true to its core owner managed businesses and private client, is key to this.

As part of this development, the firm has recognised the need for more modern communication and information sharing paths and is developing its social media presence to make this happen. Please feel free to follow them on LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook.

Morris Crocker is also pleased to welcome back former staff member Chris Gilbert to its marketing department. Chris will be heavily involved in growing the social media identity and brand of the firm.
