Off The Record Needs You!

Havant and Portsmouth Counselling charity ‘Off the Record’, which has helped countless people over the years, now needs some help back.

The registered and independent charity has been based in Leigh Park since 1977, offering support and counselling for young people aged 11-25 over the years. Christine, who is a student was given support at 15, she said: Off the Record have always been there for me to talk to even when I was getting bullied and had family problems. “They’ve helped me overcome my problems and personal issues, not just mine but also some of my friends, I’m a much happier person because of them”.

Off The Record are currently facing crisis because of a lack of government funding and have taken urgent steps to reduce expenditures. However, they need you to support them so that they can stay open and continue to support young people. You can support Off The Record by organising an event and raising money for them or by making a donation through their website. Off the Record supports people with:

  • Relationship and family problems
  • Confidence and self-esteem issues
  • Depression and loneliness
  • Anxiety, stress or anger
  • Home, school, work
  • Keeping safe, abuse, bullying
  • Homeless or financial worries.
