BOSMERE SCHOOL VISIT BEACON CHURCH

On Tuesday 4th December 2018 a Year 4 class from Bosmere Junior School visited the Beacon Church to sing to the parishioners who were enjoying a get together Christmas lunch. 4FW sang a selection of their Nativity songs and really entertained the diners. The 30 children then went to give their hand-made Christmas cards to different individuals and enjoyed spending some time with them discussing their hobbies and school. Daniel (aged 9) remarked to his teacher Mrs Fisk, “I was really surprised because they really were interested in what we liked doing.” Miley (aged 9) was engaged at great length describing how she made her card, sprinkling the recipient in glitter – to much amusement of the table! Anna (also aged 9) was really moved by how much the card and some fun singing meant to this group of people. This is the third year Sonia from the Beacon Church has co-ordinated this fun afternoon with Bosmere Junior School and it is a tradition we hope to continue.
