This beautiful ‘Speak their Name’ memorial quilt was created by Hampshire people who have lost a loved one to suicide. From World Suicide Prevention Day on 10 September it begun a tour to venues across Hampshire to bring awareness to the actions we can all take to help prevent suicide.
The powerful artwork contains a total of 72 squares representing 61 individual lives and many more unnamed. Over 60 people have been involved in its creation as part of the ‘Speak their Name’ movement and with the support of the Voices Collective, a group with living experience of suicide.
If you have been affected by suicide, Amparo: Support following suicide can help to provide emotional and practical support. Experienced liaison workers will listen to your needs and assist you in accessing help. Go to: https://amparo.org.uk
