Since 2007 a determined team have worked hard to create a strong and inspiring offer of ladies rugby within Havant Rugby Club. That team has evolved and grown over the last few years, gathering momentum with 2 promotions in recent seasons and with a great style of rugby being played. Over time, having seen the hard work, dedication and passion which the ladies team effuse, general support within the club for the Ladies team has grown and the ladies team is now an integral part of Havant RFC.
Our aim is to create a warm and inviting ladies team, where fun and enjoyment are top of the agenda but with an underlying ambition to continue to achieve success and develop skills further. There is a strong social element to the team with regular events - we’re all friends as well as teammates.
The open evening on Monday 20th October, was about showcasing the team, introducing people to rugby and hopefully helping to dispel some of the myths which often exist around women’s rugby. Ladies are welcome to come along any time, regardless of experience or fitness and try rugby out in a safe and fun environment, with top quality coaching.
