As every year, there will be a sponsored dog walking event along the Hayling seafront to raise money for The Ark Animal Shelter in Stubbington.
Put an extra wag in your dog’s day and join us on Sunday 17th May at 10.30 am.
The starting point for the 2-mile walk will be at the Coastguard building on the seafront (opposite Bound Lane). We will walk to the Inn on the Beach and then return to the Hayling Island Light Railway Station where refreshments for the dogs and their walkers will be provided.
Don’t have a dog? Not to worry – everyone is welcome and the walk is a perfect opportunity to get out into the sunshine and join the fun. The sponsorship you and your dog raise will help us to care for unwanted, abandoned and all too often mistreated animals which have found a new home in The Ark.
It takes the enormous sum of £3,000 a day to provide a warm kennel, blankets and beds, vital veterinary care and food for dogs, cats, rabbits, goats, and occasionally even pigs. As The Ark is self-supporting, it is totally reliant on fund-raising efforts, so let’s all do our very best. Please come and support us to help keep The Ark afloat.
