Did you miss out on tickets for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIOWAA) 5km fun run, Dash in the Dark on 21st September? Don’t put your neon paint away just yet!
Due to unprecedented demand, HIOWAA have managed to secure an extra 250 spaces for their new night mission, with all proceeds going towards the life-saving Charity.
When the sun has set, the ‘Dash’ will have participants running, skipping, dancing, jumping or walking their way through and around the 5km route on Southampton Common, whilst enjoying wind, light, sound and cloud mission tunnels.
HIOWAA’s Events Fundraiser, Nicole Davies, said: “The first 500 places for Dash in the Dark sold out faster than we had anticipated, and we are thrilled that we have been able to secure an additional 250 places for those still keen to take part.”
She added: “Exciting and distinct challenges such as Dash in the Dark help to raise the vital funds needed to keep our life-saving service operational, both day and night. Every penny raised on the night will help us save another life.”
Each participant will receive an official Dash in the Dark t-shirt and a glow in the dark medal at the finish line. The route is softly lit and paved throughout, and head torches are essential.
