Spring into a new craft course at Making Space

As we head into Spring, many of us feel the urge for a good old clean out, refreshing our wardrobes, sorting through drawers and cupboards, out with the old, in with the new. During this annual spring clean, you may come across long forgotten bits and pieces of jewellery – broken bracelets, lone earrings, pendants that have lost their chains – that you just can’t bring yourself to throw out.

Fortunately, Making Space has a brilliant solution; Emma Burfoot, the resident jeweller at the Havant-based craft charity, is running a brand new daytime course that can breathe new life into old treasures. Her Reclaimed Jewellery course is the perfect opportunity to reinvent, up-cycle and find new ways to wear those pieces that might normally be confined to the back of a drawer.

Starting on 25 February for five weeks, this course is fantastic value at just £99, and you can book your place with a 50% deposit. The sessions take place from 10am to 12noon every Monday from 25 February to 25 March.

Spring is also the time when new blooms bring some colour into our lives, and ceramicist Peter Levy will lead a course where you can design your own ceramic plant pots using terracotta and stoneware.
