What you can do about climate change

The headlines about the climate crisis are scary, but there are practical things we can all do to help reduce our impact on the environment.

That's the theme of a free talk held by local environmental group Greening Westbourne on Tuesday 29 October.

Margaret Enstone, senior sustainability officer at West Sussex County Council, will speak at the event, at 7pm at the Meeting Place, North Street, Westbourne. Cheese and wine will be on offer.

Margaret will give an expert rundown on topics including:

  • how you can take action to help reduce climate change
  • what you can do to help prepare for the changes to come
  • Havant Borough Council’s climate pledge and how to get involved

The Council is urging residents to pledge to take six actions: make low-carbon journeys, save water, pass on plastic, fight against food waste, shop locally and save energy. To find out more search ‘climate pledge’ at www.westsussex.gov.uk
