Hannah's Holiday Home Appeal enrols frantic fairies to confront pretentious peers!

Hannah's Holiday Home Appeal provides luxury holiday home breaks for families of children who are seriously ill.

The charity was set up in memory of Hannah Westbrook who died of cancer aged 10. Hannah's mum Pam Marshall of Horndean is energetically fundraising for a third holiday home to open in Milford-on Sea on what would have been Hannah's 21st birthday in March 2015.

The charity presents a fundraising night at the opera giving another chance to see Havant Light Opera's highly acclaimed production of Iolanthe.

The Marquis of Mengham and the Earl of Idsworth vie for the girl's hand in Gilbert & Sullivana's timeless zany musical satire about fairies and Parliament, politics in general and the House of Lords in particular. Enjoy some of Sullivanâ's famous and sprightly music, ranging from lyrical charm to stirring patriotism. Meet colourful characters such as the ebullient Lord Chancellor and the haughty ferocious Fairy Queen heading up the teams of pompous peers and felicitous frivolous fairies.

The audience are welcome to come in fancy dress, with prizes for the loveliest lord and funkiest fairy!

Iolanthe will be performed at Blendworth Church Centre, Horndean, PO8 0AA on Saturday 18th October at 7.30 pm. Tickets £10 (Children £5) from Pam Marshall 07790 349876 or pam@hannahsappeal.org
