The Havant WEA (Workers' Education Association) are introducing two new subjects this Spring:

Astronomy, Solar Systems Near and Far, presented by Guy Hurst, explores how discoveries stream in about our Solar System and simultaneously, spectacular discoveries of exo–planets orbiting other stars are leading to knowledge of solar systems different from our own.

This five-week course on Wednesday afternoons from 2.00 pm - 4.00pm 22 March -19 April 20 is to be held at Bedhampton Social Hall Centre, 21 Bedhampton Road. PO9 3ES. Fee £41

Egyptology – A Virtual Tour of the Nile is a Day School presented by John Billman which takes a virtual tour of selected major sites of ancient Egypt and traces the development of Old Kingdom pyramids in Saggara and Giza, before travelling south to Thebes to study iconic New Kingdom remains of Upper Egypt.

The Day School venue is at The Spring and Heritage Centre, Havant. PO9 1BS from 10:30am – 3:30pm on Saturday 18 March - Fee £20.50
