Hayling Island Community First Responders

Hayling Island 999 day on the 21st June 2015 at Beechlands a free day and a good opportunity to take dad out on Father's Day,

The event gets underway with the opening ceremony at 10: 30, during the day the Blendworth Brass Band will be playing, along with lots of stands from the various Emergency organisations.

Timing for the various displays may change due to operational duties: i.e. the duty Royal Navy, Bomb Disposal Team / Driving-team will have to leave if they get a call, as will the Coast Guard and Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.

12:00 in the Main arena - CPR demonstration by various First Aid Groups - this is your chance to learn this invaluable skill that could save somebody's life.

14:15 re-enactment and tribute to the Sinah Royal Artillery Gun Battery who on the 17th - 18th APRIL 1941 Fired 2,000 shells at enemy aircraft

15:35 Sunset ceremony and lowering of the Flags,

15:50 re-enactment, of the first rescue of the RNLI in 1865, where the Fort Cumberland Guard will fire their cannon to alert the Langstone Cutters & Coast Guard Team, then on 150 years when the RNLI will race to the rescue with their latest craft to be assisted by the on shore emergency services.
