Hayling for St George

The H4STG team are pleased to announce that for the third year, our celebration of St Georges Day and all things English will take place at The Eastoke Plaza on Sunday 27th April 2014. Our packed programme of entertainment will run from 12 noon until 5pm.

Appearing this year will be:

  • The Out of the Shadows 60's tribute band who got us all dancing on The Plaza last year
  • The RocknRoll Hoodlums well known on Hayling and mostly Island residents
  • The Hayling Musical Society who will have us singing along to WW1 songs
  • The Hayling Youngstars with a surprise programme
  • The Band of the Hampshire Constabulary 40-50 Musicians rounding off the day with The Last Night of the Proms.

There will be a display of Classic Cars and Military Vehicles alongside The Plaza on The Common.

The Hayling Seaside Railway will be running trains between Beachlands and Eastoke Corner during the concert. Hopefully this again will be a steam engine.

The event is free to residents and their visitors. Please bring your own chairs if you wish as there is limited seating.

The Eastoke Plaza has ample parking and a good selection of cafes, pubs, ice cream parlour, award winning fish and chips, gift shops and amusements.

We will be collecting during the afternoon for our chosen Charity, The Lions Club of Hayling Island. They will distribute monies raised to local charities.
