The next production is RolePlay, a comedy by Alan Ayckbourn.
Justin and Julie-Ann are a couple sharing a London Docklands apartment. They have invited their respective parents (Justin’s upper crust alcoholic mother and Julie- Ann’s bigoted Yorkshire father and prim mother) for dinner so that they can announce their engagement. However their carefully-planned evening is interrupted when an upstairs neighbour drops in (quite literally) onto their balcony whilst trying to escape her violent boyfriend. Her arrival, followed by that of her thuggish minder, send events spinning in a very different direction from those intended.
