Portsmouth Hispanic Society

Portsmouth Hispanic Society is open to anyone who is able to get to our meetings at the Fratton Community Centre. We meet on the first Thursday of every month apart from August.

Our next meeting; entitled Tastes of Spain (Brits in a Spanish Kitchen), will not be the usual run-of-the-mill PHS meeting, featuring a distinguished speaker: instead, five intrepid regular members will be demonstrating their culinary skills and talking about their favourite recipes.

We will get to learn how to make a typical Paella, Ensaladilla (Russian Salad), Tortilla (Spanish potato omelette), Michirones (a bean dish from Murcia) and in addition, a Gibraltarian Austerity Paella. We will of course get to taste the finished products, washed down with a glass of wine.

Non-members welcome - £2 on the door and to taste the food an additional £1. Further details of our events may be found at www.spanishportsmouth.org.uk
