The Rotary Club of Havant is actively seeking new members. To that end members recently invited guests to a special breakfast at the Brookfield Hotel, Emsworth.
Havant Rotary is part of an international movement which has 1.7 million members across 34,000 branches worldwide. In Havant they meet every Monday evening at 6.30 PM at the Bear Hotel in East Street where the members enjoy a good dinner and listen to speakers on a variety of topics. The main aim of Rotary is to fundraise for local and overseas projects. Globally Rotary fundraises some $392 million which is often matched by other charitable foundations.
Rotary is particularly interested in youth, community and international projects. Locally they have given £10,000 to Havant Youth charity “Off the Recordâ€. For further information see: www.havantrotaryclub.org.uk
