That's Interesting! Discussion Group

Have you ever watched a TV programme or read a book, listened to a piece of music that moved you and wished you had someone to discuss it with? Whatever the subject chances are we have or would be open to discussing it. So why not come along to our weekly discussion meeting, enjoy a cup of tea and a biscuit in a warm and non-threatening women only group? What's said in the room stays in the room.

Every Tuesday in term time 7:30 to 9:15 pm at The Meeting Place United Reformed Church, Havant. (This is where we meet; we are not connected to the church in any way.)

We ask for a donation of £3 per week to help towards refreshments and room hire.

You name it we've probably talked about it or would be willing to do so in the future. So come along with your own ideas to chat about or maybe just to listen to an open, honest and lively debate. Some of the topics we've looked at include:

Children who have murdered
The Tudors - King Henry mad, bad or misunderstood?
The Seven Daughters of Eve, The Stewarts, Prison reform, and Stonehenge.

Topics for the future include:

Was it rape? (Following BBC3 TV programme), Media slants: one paper’s front page - another paper’s page 5, History of Uppark House, Our reliance on Information Technology, Old Portsmouth / Spice Island

For further information email Karen on karen_p@operamall.com or just drop in on a Tuesday for a cuppa' and a debate - look forward to seeing you.
