Countdown to exciting new facilities being built at Waterlooville Leisure Centre by the sporting charity Horizon to provide a new Gym, Indoor Play Centre and Café programmed to open this summer.
Howard Broad, Horizon’s Chief Executive said “The Phase 1 extension will be an exciting addition to the facilities already on offer and the Team at Horizon are very much looking forward to welcoming existing and new customers to the Centre. The charity’s objective is to ‘make life better for all our users’ and the extension will certainly encourage more people in the local community to participate in a sporting activity and benefit from a healthier lifestyleâ€. The unique three-storey gym, which will contain a large studio for group fitness classes, will support over 100 work stations for cardio and weight resistance training. The new gym will be equally as impressive as the gym which opened last summer at Horizon’s sister Leisure Centre in Havant, which was short-listed for 'Gym of the Year 2014' at the National Fitness Awards.
The Indoor Play Centre will be of the latest design and will provide children with a fun and exciting place to visit whilst also providing a learning experience. The facility is set to become as popular as the Indoor Play Centre which has been successfully operating at Havant Leisure Centre for 10 years offering every day casual use and parties. The Café is another new addition to the Centre and will benefit the increased number of members and customers expected to use the enlarged Centre as well as parents and participants who attend the swimming programme and galas.
