Hayling 1st Responders get funds from Pantomime

The NEHRA commissioned recent pantomime ‘Aladdin’ was a great success performing to full houses and raising over £700 to be split between 3 local charities.

This annual pantomime written and produced by Fiona and Alan Bartlett was a sell-out for both performances and the cast of local folk came together to create a highly entertaining show. Lots of local jokes and a good storyline had the audiences in riotous laughter and applause.  Songs were backed by the Hayling Huggers Ukulele Band and had the audience singing along with them

The proceeds after costs were £705 and are being split between the Hayling Foodbank, The Hayling First Responders and the Hayling Red Cross Branch. All three charities expressed their delight and grateful thanks for these donations. Phil Pritchard, Co-ordinator of the Hayling 1st Responders said ‘We are immensely grateful for this considerable donation which we will use to purchase an Observation Kit to check blood pressure, temperature and blood sugar levels and this will enhance our patient diagnosis skills.’

Derek Bowerman, Chairman of NEHRA said ‘Our thanks to all who took part and those who supported to make this a brilliant success. It was a good community event which is feeding back significant donations to the chosen charities.’
