Life Cycles of Butterflies in Britain and Ireland

Wednesday 20 March at 7.30pm

Join Peter Eeles with his illustrated talk on the 59 species of butterflies considered resident or regular migrants. The adult butterfly represents just one quarter of their life cycle, and this presentation will open up the incredibly fascinating world of their immature stages, in terms of eggs, caterpillars and chrysalises. Peter created the widely-used UK Butterflies website in 2000 and, in 2016 and was presented with the Marsh Award for the Promotion of Lepidoptera Conservation. He is currently Chair of the Hampshire and Isle of Wight branch of Butterfly Conservation.

We meet at St Wilfrids Church Hall, Padnell Road, Cowplain, PO8 8DZ. Free Parking.  Non-members welcome.

£4 cash on the door, including refreshments or book your ticket online at: hiwwt.org.uk/events
